In the last couple of days in Bali, everyone was in wedding mode. The bridal party was busy with a wedding rehearsal and welcome dinner one day and traditional Chinese wedding games, tea ceremony, wedding ceremony, and reception the day after. Those of us who were not part of the bridal party were able to relax in the villa and join the rest of the guests for the ceremony and reception.
On our second full day in Bali, the whole gang went on a sightseeing tour, which Gary organized. This was great because we were able to get a lot in on the day that everyone was free from wedding duties and take advantage of our driver. (more…)
My friend Gary messaged me one day to tell me he was engaged. I’ve known Gary since I lived in NYC. We used to go clubbing and go out to eat with our crew every chance we’d get. We were pretty tight until I moved out of NYC in 2006. I still keep in touch with this group here and there and always meet up with them when I’m back in town. So when Gary told me he was getting married in Bali and Taiwan, and asked if I wanted to go, I said “hell yeah!” (more…)
